Frequently Asked Questions

Is this coaching specifically for children with cleft or facial differences? The courses are designed to support all children, but many find the benefits especially helpful for children navigating challenges related to facial differences, medical journeys, feeling “different,” or social pressure at school.

What ages are these courses for? Courses are generally designed for elementary and "tween"–aged children, though families know their child best. You’re welcome to explore the course details to see if it feels like a good fit for your child’s stage and needs.

What topics are covered? Topics may include:
  • Building self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Responding to teasing or bullying
  • Standing steady under peer pressure
  • Making values-based decisions
  • Honoring uniqueness and staying true to self
  • Setting goals and believing in dreams
All content is taught using the power of stories, making it engaging and accessible for children.

Is coaching offered in place of therapy or medical care? No. These courses are educational and skill-building, not therapy or medical treatment. They are designed to complement—never replace—professional care or support.

What does it cost? We understand that the cleft medical journey can be financially demanding. Courses are offered with:
  • Sliding-scale pricing
  • Occasional sponsored or community-funded spots
Cost should never be a barrier to confidence-building support.

What if now isn’t the right time for our family? That’s completely okay. This resource will continue to be available, and families are welcome to explore it now or in the future—or not at all.

Who can I contact with questions? If you have questions or would like to learn more privately, you’re welcome to reach out directly here. There is no obligation.

Is this coaching part of the nonprofit? No. These mindset coaching courses are a separate professional service offered independently by our founder in her role as a certified mindset coach. They are not part of our nonprofit programs, events, or services.

Why is this being shared through the nonprofit? Over the years, families have expressed concerns for their children regarding confidence, self-esteem, bullying, and navigating school with a cleft or facial difference.  We are sharing this simply so families know this additional support exists if and when it feels helpful.

Our Commitment to Integrity
Our nonprofit remains fully volunteer-run and committed to promoting understanding of cleft and craniofacial conditions, fostering hope and connection, and supporting cleft patient care and research. These values guide all that we do.
